My name is Shawn, I am a Florida native who loves people and dancing! After earning my degree in Modern Dance, I went on to be a dance instructor and performer for the next 15 years. While I enjoy dancing, I also enjoy fashion and helping others, which lead me to my next career as a Visual Merchandising Manager for Macy's® for 10 years. In 2017 Jimmy and I decided it was time to make career changes. We took a leap of faith on a dream Jimmy had and never looked back! With inspiration from Macy's® on creating a standout brand, The Central Florida Home Boys was born. With a passion for helping others and the ability to strike up a conversation with almost anyone, I felt this career was finally letting me live with purpose, giving me more time to spend helping others and fostering new relationships, giving back to my community as a member of The Pride Chamber of Commerce of Orlando and President of LGBTQ+ Real Estate Alliance, and the ability to spend more quality time just enjoying life. My passion for dancing and having fun wherever I go, is how the "The Shimmy" emerged as our "signature dance", dancing my way through listing videos and Shimmy-ing at closing with customers! All of my life experiences have prepared me for my approach in real estate as a dedicated and hardworking agent that has a positive outlook and enjoys life! Hi friends! Jimmy here, a Florida native, born and raised in Melbourne on Florida’s east Coast. I consider myself an outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking (completed my first “fourteener” in 2018), traveling adventures, and maintaining a beautiful landscape at our home, Chateau Shimmy. During my Senior year in high school, I took a summer job with Publix Supermarkets©. While beginning college, I quickly advanced into management. That summer job turned into a 17-year career in Customer Service Management. In 2016, Shawn and I decided it was time to do something different. By different, we mean leaving our established careers at the same time to take a leap of faith. Both coming from a corporate and service background we knew what it took to provide top-notch customer service but more importantly establishing long-lasting relationships. I always dreamed of owning a business that creates a culture that’s inclusive, where everyone is treated fairly and is made to feel like family. That’s where real estate came in, I thought back to the feeling I had when purchasing my first home with Shawn in 2009. Everyone has their own version of what “home” is to them, what better way to have a lasting impact on someone than to be a part of them finding theirs. That’s where the vision of our business began and how it turned into what it is today, The Central Florida Home Boys. We’ve been able to help hundreds of families over the past 5 years and I truly believe that creating meaningful relationships is what's propelled the success of our dream to become a reality. The Agent Assist was founded to fill the need within the real estate industry for real estate agents and brokers to free themselves from the rather mundane aspect of transaction management. We recognized the fact that this process generates enough time consuming work to prevent the agent from prospecting and getting the next deal on the books.
